Top Baller 1v1 Rules

 

GAME SETUP

Top Baller’s 1v1 competition consists of six intense rounds, where players compete in front of an audience for the ultimate cash prize and the prestigious Top Baller title. The tournament structure is as follows:

  1. Qualifying Rounds
  2. Money Rounds (First knockout round winners play in a Round of 16 to enter the Quarter-Finals)
  3. Quarter-Finals
  4. Semi-Finals
  5. Final

 

HOW TO PLAY

  • The attacker initiates play with a 1-2 pass with the defender.
  • The attacker must beat the defender and score a goal to earn 1 point.
  • After each attempt, play resets, and the players switch positions.
  • The defender earns 1 point by successfully stopping the attacker from scoring.
  • Attackers have 10 seconds to score per round.
  • The first player to 3 points advances to the next round.

 

HOW TO EARN POINTS

As an Attacker:

  • Score a goal (1 point).
  • Perform an exceptional skill move to beat the defender and score a goal (automatic advancement to the next round, subject to referee discretion).

As a Defender:

  • Prevent the attacker from scoring (1 point).
  • Block or shield the ball out of play (1 point).
  • Gain full possession and control of the ball (1 point).

 

FOULS & VIOLATIONS

Fouls are determined by the referee, and play continues until the referee signals a foul. The following rules apply:

  • Dangerous tackles or deliberate fouls to prevent a goal result in automatic disqualification.
  • Deliberate handballs result in automatic disqualification.

Accidental Handballs:

  • First offense: Play is reset (rerun).
  • Second offense: Opponent is awarded 1 point.
  • Repeated offenses: Player is disqualified.

Accidental Fouls (e.g., slipping or mistimed tackles):

  • First offense: 1 point deduction.
  • Second offense: Opponent is awarded 1 point.
  • Repeated offenses: Player is disqualified.
